I am having problems connecting via gtalk. It says “Could not connect to the Google Talk service (error 1)” on gtalk! :-S

It does not work… . In my case, it returns connection time out. I filled the field values as suggested above…
Does anyone know, wats is the prob, coz i can access talk via my gmail account

It still doesn’t work with no proxy via gaim(couldn’t connect to host) !!!!!!!! I am also having problems connecting via gtalk. It says “Could not connect to the Google Talk service (error 1)” on gtalk! :-S

Any error message? gmail domain or your own domain? Try to check your gaim connection setting. Perhaps about proxy setting option. Try to change “Use Global Proxy Settings” to “No Proxy”. Good Luck…
