What is your Page Strength?
SEOMoz.org launched Page Strength, an online tool to tell you the importance and visibility of web pages.
Webmetrics, Google PageRank, Alexa ranking toolbar and composite indicators are some of the valuable tools to help you gauge your web pages. This is pretty helpful when you are doing search engine optimization Google and trying to figure out which site is worthy of your back links.
However, aside from those mentioned there are other tools that you can rely on and one of them is the SEOmoz Page Strength Indicator, a new way of measuring the importance of a site.
SEOmoz Page Strength Indicator is based on the following measures:
- Links pointing to full URL (Yahoo)
- Links pointing to domain (Yahoo)
- Position for first four words of title tag on target URL (Google)
- Age of Domain
- Links from domains with .edu TLDs (Yahoo)
- Links from domains with .gov TLDs (Yahoo)
- Alexa Rank
- Domain name visibility (Google)
- Internal Link Percent
- Number of search results for URL search at del.icio.us
- Listings in DMOZ (ODP)
- Links found in Wikipedia

We really rate this tool, although our page strength is ostensibly less than our Google PR, we think it probably offers a more ‘balanced’ assessment of the sites worth and of course it keeps us on our toes.
